Leviticus 26:3-14

3 a“If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, 4then bI will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 cYour threshing shall last to the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last to the time for sowing. And dyou shall eat your bread to the full and edwell in your land securely. 6 fI will give peace in the land, and gyou shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid. And hI will remove harmful beasts from the land, iand the sword shall not go through your land. 7You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 jFive of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9 kI will turn to you and lmake you fruitful and multiply you and will confirm my covenant with you. 10You shall eat mold store long kept, and you shall clear out the old to make way for the new. 11 nI will make my dwelling

among you, and my soul shall not abhor you.
12 pAnd I qwill walk among you and will be your God, and you shall be my people. 13 rI am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves. sAnd I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.

Punishment for Disobedience

14 t“But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments,

Deuteronomy 4:9

9 uOnly take care, and vkeep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. wMake them known to your children and your children’s children

Deuteronomy 11:13-15

13“And if you will indeed obey my commandments that I command you today, xto love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 yhe
Samaritan, Septuagint, Vulgate; Hebrew I; also verse 15
will give the rain for your land in its season, aathe early rain and the later rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil.
15 abAnd he will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and acyou shall eat and be full.

Deuteronomy 28:1-15

Blessings for Obedience

1“And adif you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you aehigh above all the nations of the earth. 2And all these blessings shall come upon you and afovertake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. 3Blessed shall you be in the city, and agblessed shall you be in the field. 4Blessed shall be ahthe fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. 5Blessed shall be your basket and your aikneading bowl. 6Blessed shall you be ajwhen you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

7“The Lord akwill cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. 8The Lord alwill command the blessing on you in your barns and amin all that you undertake. anAnd he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 9 aoThe Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. 10And apall the peoples of the earth shall see that you are aqcalled by the name of the Lord, and they shall be arafraid of you. 11And asthe Lord will make you abound in prosperity, in atthe fruit of your womb and in the fruit of your livestock and in the fruit of your ground, within the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, auto give the rain to your land in its season and avto bless all the work of your hands. And awyou shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13And the Lord will make you axthe head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them, 14 ayand if you do not turn aside from any of the words that I command you today, to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Curses for Disobedience

15“But azif you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and baovertake you.

Joshua 1:7

7Only be strong and bbvery courageous, being careful to do according to all the law bcthat Moses my servant commanded you. bdDo not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success

wherever you go.

Psalms 19:11

11Moreover, by them is your servant warned;

you shall eat the good of the land;
