Leviticus 26:33-35

33 And ^aI will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you, and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.

34 ^b“Then the land shall enjoy ^{▼▼Or pay for; twice in this verse; also verse 43} its Sabbaths as long as it lies desolate, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest, and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, the rest that it did not have on your Sabbaths when you were dwelling in it.

Deuteronomy 29:23

23 the whole land burned out with brimstone and ^dsalt, nothing sown and nothing growing, where no plant can sprout, ^ean overthrow like that of Sodom and Gomorrah, ^fAdmah, and Zeboiim, which the Lord overthrew in his anger and wrath—

Isaiah 5:9-10

and houses without people,
and the land is a desolate waste,
12 and the Lord removes people far away,
and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.

Isaiah 24:1-3

Judgment on the Whole Earth
