Leviticus 26:36-37

36And as for those of you who are left, aI will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The bsound of a cdriven leaf shall put them to flight, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall when none pursues. 37They shall stumble over one another, as if to escape a sword, though none pursues. And dyou shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

Numbers 14:1-3

The People Rebel

1Then all the congregation raised a loud cry, and the people ewept that night. 2And all the people of Israel fgrumbled against Moses and Aaron. The whole congregation said to them, “Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or gwould that we had died in this wilderness! 3Why is the Lord bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword? hOur wives and our little ones will become a prey. Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?”

Deuteronomy 28:65-66

65And iamong these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but jthe Lord will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and ka languishing soul. 66Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life.

2 Kings 7:6-7

6For the Lord had made the army of the Syrians lhear the sound of chariots and of horses, the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us mthe kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to come against us.” 7 nSo they fled away in the twilight and abandoned their tents, their horses, and their donkeys, leaving the camp as it was, and fled for their lives.
