Leviticus 26:36-39

36 And as for those of you who are left, ^aI will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The ^bsound of a ^cdriven leaf shall put them to flight, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall when none pursues. 37 They shall stumble over one another, as if to escape a sword, though none pursues. And ^dyou shall have no power to stand before your enemies. 38 And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. 39 And those of you who are left shall ^erot away in your enemies’ lands because of their iniquity, and also because of the iniquities of their fathers they shall rot away like them.

Deuteronomy 28:64-67

64 “And the Lord ^fwill scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and ^gthere you shall serve other gods ^hof wood and stone, ⁱwhich neither you nor your fathers have known. 65 And ^jamong these nations you shall find no respite, and there shall be no resting place for the sole of your foot, but ^kthe Lord will give you there a trembling heart and failing eyes and ^la languishing soul. 66 Your life shall hang in doubt before you. Night and day you shall be in dread and have no assurance of your life. 67 ^mIn the morning you shall say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and at evening you shall say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the dread that your heart shall feel, and ⁿthe sights that your eyes shall see.

Jeremiah 24:9

Lamentations 2:9
