Leviticus 26:40-42

40“But if athey confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery that they bcommitted against me, and also in walking contrary to me, 41so that I walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemiesif then their cuncircumcised heart is dhumbled and they make amends for their iniquity, 42then I will eremember my covenant with Jacob, and I will remember my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will fremember the land.

Joshua 7:19

19Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, ggive glory to the Lord God of Israel and hgive praise
Or  and make confession
to him. And jtell me now what you have done; do not hide it from me.”

Psalms 32:5

5 I kacknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I lwill confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.  Selah

Proverbs 28:13

13Whoever mconceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who nconfesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.

Jeremiah 3:13

13 oOnly acknowledge your guilt,
that you rebelled against the Lord your God
and scattered your favors among foreigners under pevery green tree,
and that you have not obeyed my voice,

declares the Lord.

1 John 1:7-9

7But qif we walk in the light, ras he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and sthe blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 tIf we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and uthe truth is not in us. 9 vIf we confess our sins, he is wfaithful and just to forgive us our sins and xto cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
