Leviticus 27:28-29

28But ano devoted thing that a man devotes to the Lord, of anything that he has, whether man or beast, or of his inherited field, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the Lord. 29 bNo one devoted, who is to be devoted for destruction
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
from mankind, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 24:20

20Then he looked on Amalek and dtook up his discourse and said,

Amalek was the first among the nations,
ebut its end is utter destruction.”

Deuteronomy 13:15-16

15you shall surely put the inhabitants of that city to the sword, devoting it to destruction,
That is, setting apart ( devoting) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
all who are in it and its cattle, with the edge of the sword.
16You shall gather all its spoil into the midst of its open square and gburn the city and all its spoil with fire, as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. It shall be a hheap forever. It shall not be built again.

Deuteronomy 20:16-18

16But iin the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, 17but jyou shall devote them to complete destruction,
That is, set apart ( devote) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the Lord your God has commanded,
18that lthey may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you msin against the Lord your God.

Joshua 6:17-21

17And the city and all that is within it shall be ndevoted to the Lord for destruction.
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction); also verses 18, 21
Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall live, because she phid the messengers whom we sent.
18But you, keep yourselves from the things devoted to destruction, lest when you have devoted them you take any of the devoted things and make the camp of Israel qa thing for destruction and rbring trouble upon it. 19But all silver and gold, and every vessel of bronze and iron, are holy to the Lord; they shall go into the treasury of the Lord.” 20So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and sthe wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city. 21Then they tdevoted all in the city to destruction, both men and women, young and old, oxen, sheep, and donkeys, with the edge of the sword.
