Moses Commands Obedience
1“And now, O Israel, listen to cthe statutes and the rules ▼▼Or just decrees; also verses 5, 8, 14, 45
that I am teaching you, and do them, ethat you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you. Deuteronomy 5:1

Curses for Disobedience
15“But hif you will not obey the voice of the Lord your God or be careful to do all his commandments and his statutes that I command you today, then all these curses shall come upon you and iovertake you.1 Kings 2:3
3and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, jthat you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,Psalms 19:8-9
