Leviticus 4:6-7
6and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and asprinkle part of the blood seven times before the Lord in front of the veil of the sanctuary. 7And the priest bshall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of fragrant incense before the Lord that is in the tent of meeting, and call the rest of the blood of the bull he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.Leviticus 4:17-18

8When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in tsacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), 9then he added, u“Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. 10And by that will vwe have been sanctified through the offering of wthe body of Jesus Christ xonce for all.
11And every priest stands ydaily at his service, zoffering repeatedly the same sacrifices, aawhich can never take away sins. 12But when Christ ▼

had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he acsat down at the right hand of God, 13waiting from that time aduntil his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14For by a single offering aehe has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. 15And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying,
16 af“This is the covenant that I will make with them
after those days, declares the Lord:
I will put my laws on their hearts,
and write them on their minds,”
17then he adds,
ag“I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
18Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
