in silver shekels, ▼▼A shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
according to the eshekel of the sanctuary, for a guilt offering. Leviticus 22:10-15
10 f“A lay person shall not eat of a holy thing; no foreign guest of the priest or hired worker shall eat of a holy thing, 11but if a priest buys a slave ▼▼Or servant; twice in this verse
as his property for money, the slave ▼▼Hebrew he
may eat of it, and ianyone born in his house may eat of his food. 12If a priest’s daughter marries a layman, she shall not eat of the contribution of the holy things. 13But if a priest’s daughter is widowed or divorced and has no child and jreturns to her father’s house, kas in her youth, she may eat of her father’s food; yet no lay person shall eat of it. 14 lAnd if anyone eats of a holy thing unintentionally, he shall add mthe fifth of its value to it and give the holy thing to the priest. 15They nshall not profane the holy things of the people of Israel, which they contribute to the Lord, Leviticus 27:30

Malachi 3:8-10
8Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. qBut you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ rIn your tithes and contributions. 9 sYou are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. 10 tBring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby uput me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open vthe windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
