1 c“This is the law of the dguilt offering. eIt is most holy.

Leviticus 7:6

6 fEvery male among the priests may eat of it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. gIt is most holy.

Leviticus 10:17-18

17 hWhy have you not eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since iit is a thing most holy and has been given to you that you may bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord? 18Behold, jits blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary. You certainly ought to have eaten it in the sanctuary, kas I commanded.”

Leviticus 22:1-16

1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2Speak to Aaron and his sons so that they labstain from the holy things of the people of Israel, which they mdedicate to me, so that they do not nprofane my holy name: I am the Lord. 3Say to them, ‘If any one of all your offspring throughout your generations approaches the holy things that the people of Israel dedicate to the Lord, while ohe has an uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from my presence: I am the Lord. 4None of the offspring of Aaron who has a leprous disease or a pdischarge may eat of the holy things quntil he is clean. rWhoever touches anything that is unclean through contact with the dead or sa man who has had an emission of semen, 5and twhoever touches a swarming thing by which he may be made unclean or ua person from whom he may take uncleanness, whatever his uncleanness may be— 6the person who touches such a thing shall be unclean until the evening and shall not eat of the holy things unless he has vbathed his body in water. 7When the sun goes down he shall be clean, and afterward he may eat of the holy things, because wthey are his food. 8 xHe shall not eat what dies of itself or is torn by beasts, and so make himself unclean by it: I am the Lord.’ 9They shall therefore keep my charge, ylest they bear sin for it and die thereby when they profane it: zI am the Lord who sanctifies them.

10 aa“A lay person shall not eat of a holy thing; no foreign guest of the priest or hired worker shall eat of a holy thing, 11but if a priest buys a slave
Or servant; twice in this verse
as his property for money, the slave
Hebrew he
may eat of it, and adanyone born in his house may eat of his food.
12If a priest’s daughter marries a layman, she shall not eat of the contribution of the holy things. 13But if a priest’s daughter is widowed or divorced and has no child and aereturns to her father’s house, afas in her youth, she may eat of her father’s food; yet no lay person shall eat of it. 14 agAnd if anyone eats of a holy thing unintentionally, he shall add ahthe fifth of its value to it and give the holy thing to the priest. 15They aishall not profane the holy things of the people of Israel, which they contribute to the Lord, 16and so cause them ajto bear iniquity and guilt, by eating their holy things: akfor I am the Lord who sanctifies them.”

Leviticus 24:5-9

Bread for the Tabernacle

5“You shall take fine flour and bake twelve alloaves from it; two tenths of an ephah
An  ephah was about 3/5 bushel or 22 liters
shall be in each loaf.
6And you shall set them in two piles, six in a pile, anon the table of pure gold
Hebrew  the pure table
before the Lord.
7And you shall put pure frankincense on each pile, that it may go with the bread as a memorial portion as a food offering to the Lord. 8 apEvery Sabbath day Aaron shall arrange it before the Lord regularly; it is from the people of Israel as a covenant forever. 9And aqit shall be for Aaron and his sons, and arthey shall eat it in a holy place, since it is for him a most holy portion out of the Lord’s food offerings, a perpetual due.”

Leviticus 27:9-33

9“If the vow
Hebrew it
is an animal that may be offered as an offering to the Lord, all of it that he gives to the Lord is holy.
10 atHe shall not exchange it or make a substitute for it, good for bad, or bad for good; and if he does in fact substitute one animal for another, then both it and the substitute shall be holy. 11And if it is any unclean animal that may not be offered as an offering to the Lord, then he shall stand the animal before the priest, 12and the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall be. 13 auBut if he wishes to redeem it, he shall add a avfifth to the valuation.

14“When a man dedicates his house as a holy gift to the Lord, the priest shall value it as either good or bad; as the priest values it, so it shall stand. 15 awAnd if the donor wishes to redeem his house, he shall add a axfifth to the valuation price, and it shall be his.

16“If a man dedicates to the Lord part of the land that is his possession, then the valuation shall be in proportion to its seed. A homer
A  homer was about 6 bushels or 220 liters
of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
17If he dedicates his field from the year of jubilee, the valuation shall stand, 18but if he dedicates his field after the jubilee, then the priest shall azcalculate the price according to the years that remain until the year of jubilee, and a deduction shall be made from the valuation. 19 baAnd if he who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, then he shall add a bbfifth to its valuation price, and it shall remain his. 20But if he does not wish to redeem the field, or if he has sold the field to another man, it shall not be redeemed anymore. 21But the field, bcwhen it is released in the jubilee, shall be a holy gift to the Lord, like a field that has been bddevoted. The priest shall be in bepossession of it. 22If he dedicates to the Lord a field that he has bought, bfwhich is not a part of his possession, 23 bgthen the priest shall calculate the amount of the valuation for it up to the year of jubilee, and the man shall give the valuation on that day as a holy gift to the Lord. 24 bhIn the year of jubilee the field shall return to him from whom it was bought, to whom the land belongs as a possession. 25Every valuation shall be according to bithe shekel of the sanctuary: bjtwenty gerahs
A  gerah was about 1/50 ounce or 0.6 gram
shall make a shekel.

26But a blfirstborn of animals, which as a firstborn belongs to the Lord, no man may dedicate; whether ox or sheep, it is the Lord’s. 27And if it is an unclean animal, then he shall buy it back at the valuation, bmand add a fifth to it; or, if it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at the valuation.

28But bnno devoted thing that a man devotes to the Lord, of anything that he has, whether man or beast, or of his inherited field, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the Lord. 29 boNo one devoted, who is to be devoted for destruction
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction)
from mankind, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.

30 bqEvery tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord. 31If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it. 32And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that brpass under the herdsman’s staff, shall be holy to the Lord. 33One shall not differentiate between good or bad, bsneither shall he make a substitute for it; and if he does substitute for it, then both it and the substitute shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.”

Numbers 18:9-32

9This shall be yours of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, every grain offering of theirs and every btsin offering of theirs and every buguilt offering of theirs, which they render to me, shall be most holy to you and to your sons. 10In a most holy place shall you eat it. Every male may eat it; it is holy to you. 11This also is yours: the contribution of their gift, all the bvwave offerings of the people of Israel. I have given them to bwyou, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual due. bxEveryone who is clean in your house may eat it. 12 byAll the best of the oil and all the best of the wine and of the grain, bzthe firstfruits of what they give to the Lord, I give to you. 13The first ripe fruits of all that is in their land, cawhich they bring to the Lord, shall be yours. cbEveryone who is clean in your house may eat it. 14 ccEvery devoted thing in Israel shall be yours. 15 cdEverything that opens the womb of all flesh, whether man or beast, which they offer to the Lord, shall be yours. Nevertheless, cethe firstborn of man you shall redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem. 16And their redemption price cf(at a month old you shall redeem them) you shall fix at five shekels
A  shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams
in silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, chwhich is twenty gerahs.
17 ciBut the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and shall burn their fat as a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 18But their flesh shall be yours, as cjthe breast that is waved and as the right thigh are yours. 19 ckAll the holy contributions that the people of Israel present to the Lord I give to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual due. clIt is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord for you and for your offspring with you.” 20And the Lord said to Aaron, “You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them. cmI am your portion and your inheritance among the people of Israel.

21 cn“To the Levites I have given every tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service that they do, their service in the tent of meeting, 22 coso that the people of Israel do not come near the tent of meeting, cplest they bear sin and die. 23But cqthe Levites shall do the service of the tent of meeting, crand they shall bear their iniquity. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, and among the people of Israel they shall have no inheritance. 24For the tithe of the people of Israel, which csthey present as a contribution to the Lord, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance. Therefore I have said of them that they shall have no inheritance ctamong the people of Israel.”

25And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 26“Moreover, you shall speak and say to the Levites, ‘When you take from the people of Israel the tithe that I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall present a contribution from it to the Lord, cua tithe of the tithe. 27 cvAnd your contribution shall be counted to you as though it were the grain of the threshing floor, and as the fullness of the winepress. 28So you shall also present a contribution to the Lord from all your tithes, which you receive from the people of Israel. And from it you shall give the Lord’s contribution to Aaron the priest. 29Out of all the gifts to you, you shall present every contribution due to the Lord; from each its best part is to be dedicated.’ 30Therefore you shall say to them, ‘When you have offered from it the best of it, cwthen the rest shall be counted to the Levites as produce of the threshing floor, and as produce of the winepress. 31And you may eat it in any place, you and your households, for it is cxyour reward in return for your service in the tent of meeting. 32And you shall cybear no sin by reason of it, when you have contributed the best of it. But you shall not czprofane the holy things of the people of Israel, lest you die.’”
