16 And ^athe rest of it Aaron and his sons shall eat. It shall be eaten unleavened ^bin a holy place. In the court of the tent of meeting they shall eat it. 17 ^cIt shall not be baked with leaven. ^dI have given it as their portion of my food offerings. ^eIt is a thing most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering. 18 Every male among the children of Aaron may eat of it, as decreed forever throughout your generations, from the Lord’s food offerings. Whatever touches them shall become holy.”

Leviticus 6:26

26 ^fThe priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. ^gIn a holy place it shall be eaten, in the court of the tent of meeting.

Leviticus 7:6-8

6 ^hEvery male among the priests may eat of it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. ⁱIt is most holy. 7 The ^jguilt offering is just like the sin offering; there is one law for them. The priest who makes atonement with it shall have it. 8 And the priest who offers any man’s burnt offering shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering that he has offered.

Nevertheless, ^ythe firstborn of man you shall redeem, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem. 16 And their redemption price ^z(at a month old you shall redeem them) you shall fix at five shekels ^{▼▼A shekel was about 2/5 ounce or 11 grams} in silver, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, ^abwhich is twenty gerahs. 17 ^acBut the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat, you shall not redeem; they are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar and shall burn their fat as a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord. 18 But their flesh shall be yours, as ^adthe breast that is waved and as the right thigh are yours. 19 ^aeAll the holy contributions that the people of Israel present to the Lord I give to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as a perpetual due. ^afIt is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord for you and for your offspring with you.” 20 And the Lord said to Aaron, “You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them. ^agI am your portion and your inheritance among the people of Israel.

Deuteronomy 10:9

Provision for Priests and Levites

1 “The Levitical priests, all the tribe of Levi, ^aishall have no portion or inheritance with Israel.
