Leviticus 8:2

2Take Aaron and his sons with him, and athe garments and bthe anointing oil and the bull of the sin offering and the two rams and the basket of unleavened bread.

Numbers 16:9-11

9is it ctoo small a thing for you that the God of Israel has dseparated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do service in the tabernacle of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to them, 10and that he has brought you near him, and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you? And would you seek the priesthood also? 11Therefore it is against the Lord that you and all your company have gathered together. What is eAaron that you grumble against him?”

Numbers 17:2-9

2 fSpeak to the people of Israel, and get from them staffs, one for each fathershouse, from all their chiefs according to their fathershouses, twelve staffs. Write each man’s name on his staff, 3and write Aaron’s name on the staff of Levi. For there shall be one staff for the head of each fathershouse. 4Then you shall deposit them in the tent of meeting before the testimony, gwhere I meet with you. 5And the staff of the man hwhom I choose shall sprout. Thus I will make to cease from me ithe grumblings of the people of Israel, which they grumble against you.” 6Moses spoke to the people of Israel. And all their chiefs gave him staffs, one for each chief, according to their fathershouses, twelve staffs. And the staff of Aaron was among their staffs. 7And Moses deposited the staffs before the Lord in jthe tent of the testimony.

8On the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony, and behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds. 9Then Moses brought out all the staffs from before the Lord to all the people of Israel. And they looked, and each man took his staff.

2 Chronicles 26:18-21

18and they withstood King Uzziah and said to him, k“It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord, lbut for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Go out of the sanctuary, for you have done wrong, and it will bring you no honor from the Lord God.” 19Then Uzziah was angry. Now he had a censer in his hand to burn incense, and when he became angry with the priests, mleprosy
 Leprosy was a term for several skin diseases; see Leviticus 13
broke out on his forehead in the presence of the priests in the house of the Lord, by the altar of incense.
20And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and behold, he was leprous in his forehead! And they rushed him out quickly, and he himself hurried to go out, because the Lord had struck him. 21 oAnd King Uzziah was a leper to the day of his death, and being a leper lived pin a separate house, for he was excluded from the house of the Lord. And Jotham his son was over the king’s household, governing the people of the land.

Hebrews 5:1-5

1For every high priest chosen from among men qis appointed to act on behalf of men rin relation to God, sto offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 tHe can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself uis beset with weakness. 3Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins vjust as he does for those of the people. 4And wno one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God, xjust as Aaron was.

5So also Christ ydid not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by him who said to him,

zYou are my Son,
today I have begotten you”;
