Leviticus 8:22-28

22Then ahe presented the other ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram. 23And he killed it, and Moses took some of its blood and bput it on the lobe of Aaron’s right ear and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot. 24Then he presented Aaron’s sons, and Moses put some of the blood on the lobes of their right ears and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the big toes of their right feet. And Moses threw the blood against the sides of the altar. 25Then he took the fat and the fat tail and all the fat that was on the entrails and the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with their fat and the right thigh, 26and out of the basket of unleavened bread that was before the Lord he took one unleavened loaf and one loaf of bread with oil and one wafer and placed them on the pieces of fat and on the right thigh. 27And he put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons and waved them as a wave offering before the Lord. 28Then Moses took them from their hands and burned them on the altar with the burnt offering. This was an ordination offering with a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord.

Hebrews 7:23-28

23The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, 24but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues cforever. 25Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost
That is, completely; or at all times
ethose who draw near to God fthrough him, since he always lives gto make intercession for them.

26For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, hholy, innocent, unstained, iseparated from sinners, and jexalted above the heavens. 27He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, kfirst for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this lonce for all when he offered up himself. 28For the law appoints men min their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made nperfect forever.
