Leviticus 8:35

35At the entrance of the tent of meeting you shall remain day and night for seven days, performing what the Lord has acharged, so that you do not die, for so I have been commanded.”

Numbers 3:27-28

27To Kohath belonged the clan of the bAmramites and the clan of the Izharites and the clan of the Hebronites and the clan of the Uzzielites; these are the clans of the Kohathites. 28According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were 8,600, keeping guard over the sanctuary.

1 Chronicles 6:49

23So they and their sons were in charge of the gates of the house of the Lord, that is, the house of the tent, as guards.

2 Chronicles 13:11

11They offer to the Lord jevery morning and every evening burnt offerings and incense of sweet spices, set out kthe showbread on the table of pure gold, land care for the golden lampstand that its lamps may mburn every evening. For we nkeep the charge of the Lord our God, but you have forsaken him.
