Mary’s Song of Praise: The Magnificat

46And Mary said,

aMy bsoul cmagnifies the Lord,
47 dand my espirit rejoices in fGod my Savior,
48for ghe has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations hwill call me blessed;
49for ihe who is mighty jhas done great things for me,
and kholy is his name.
50And lhis mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
51 mHe has shown strength with his arm;
nhe has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts;
52 ohe has brought down the mighty from their thrones
pand exalted those of humble estate;
53he has filled qthe hungry with good things,
and the rich rhe has sent away empty.
54He has shelped this servant Israel,
uin remembrance of his mercy,
55 vas he spoke to our fathers,
wto Abraham and to his offspring forever.”
56And Mary remained with her about three months and returned to her home.

Luke 1:64-66

64 xAnd immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue yloosed, and he spoke, zblessing God. 65And aafear came on all their neighbors. And all these things were talked about through all abthe hill country of Judea, 66and all who heard them aclaid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For adthe hand of the Lord was with him.
