The Return of the Seventy-Two
17 aThe seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, beven the demons are subject to us in your name!”Acts 5:16
16The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, cbringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.Acts 8:7
7For dunclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.Acts 16:18
18And this she kept doing for many days. Paul, having become greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, e“I command you fin the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And git came out that very hour.Acts 19:12-16
12 hso that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and ithe evil spirits came out of them. 13Then some of the itinerant Jewish jexorcists kundertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, l“I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.” 14Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this. 15But the evil spirit answered them, m“Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?” 16And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all ▼▼Or both
of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
