Jesus Rejoices in the Father’s Will

21 aIn that same hour bhe rejoiced cin the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, dLord of heaven and earth, that eyou have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and frevealed them to little children; yes, Father, for gsuch was your gracious will.
Or  for so it pleased you well

John 7:47-49

47The Pharisees answered them, iHave you also been deceived? 48 jHave any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? 49But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.”

Romans 3:27

27 kThen what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31

26For consider your calling, brothers: lnot many of you were wise according to worldly standards,
Greek  according to the flesh
not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.
27But nGod chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; oGod chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28God chose what is low and despised in the world, even pthings that are not, to qbring to nothing things that are, 29so rthat no human being
Greek  no flesh
might boast in the presence of God.
30And because of him
Greek  And from him
you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us uwisdom from God, vrighteousness and wsanctification and xredemption,
31so that, as it is written, y“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

2 Corinthians 4:7-12

Treasure in Jars of Clay

7But we have this treasure in zjars of clay, aato show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8We are abafflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9persecuted, but acnot forsaken; adstruck down, but not destroyed; 10 aealways carrying in the body the death of Jesus, afso that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesussake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12So agdeath is at work in us, but life in you.

James 2:5

5Listen, my beloved brothers, ahhas not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be airich in faith and heirs of ajthe kingdom, akwhich he has promised to those who love him?
