Luke 10:23-24

23 Then turning to the disciples he said privately, ^a“Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! 24 For I tell you ^bthat many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

Hebrews 11:13

13 These all died in faith, ^cnot having received the things promised, but ^dhaving seen them and greeted them from afar, and ^ehaving acknowledged that they were ^fstrangers and exiles on the earth.

Hebrews 11:39-40

39 And all these, ^gthough commended through their faith, ^hdid not receive what was promised, 40 since God had provided something better for us, ⁱthat apart from us they should not be made perfect.
