Luke 13:31-33

Lament over Jerusalem

31 At that very hour some Pharisees came and said to him, “Get away from ^ahere, for ^bHerod wants to kill you.” 32 And he said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day ^cI finish my course. 33 Nevertheless, ^dI ^emust go on my way today and tomorrow and the day following, for it cannot be that ^fa prophet should perish away from Jerusalem.’

Saul Ravages the Church

1 And ^gSaul ^happroved of his execution.

And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and ⁱthey were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
