12He said also to the man who had invited him, When you give aa dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers
Or  your brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to brothers or to brothers and sisters
or your relatives or rich neighbors, clest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.
13But when you give a feast, dinvite ethe poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid fat gthe resurrection of the just.”

The Cheerful Giver

6The point is this: iwhoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully
Greek with blessings; twice in this verse
will also reap bountifully.
7Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, knot reluctantly or under compulsion, for lGod loves a cheerful giver. 8And mGod is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency
Or  all contentment
in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
9As it is written,

o“He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever.”
10He who supplies pseed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and qincrease the harvest of your righteousness. 11 rYou will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which sthrough us will produce thanksgiving to God. 12For the ministry of this service is not only supplying tthe needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

Philippians 4:17-20

Or I seek the profit that accrues to your account
18I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, xhaving received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, ya fragrant offering, za sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. 19And my God aawill supply every need of yours abaccording to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20To acour God and Father be adglory forever and ever.
