Luke 14:26-27

26 aIf anyone comes to me and bdoes not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, cyes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 dWhoever does not ebear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.

John 15:19-21

John 16:2

in this life only, aewe are of all people most to be pitied.
