Luke 14:26-28

26 aIf anyone comes to me and bdoes not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, cyes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 dWhoever does not ebear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not ffirst sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?

Luke 18:29-30

29And he said to them, Truly, I say to you, gthere is no one who has left house or wife or brothers
Or  wife or brothers and sisters
or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,
30who will not receive imany times more jin this time, and in kthe age to come eternal life.”

1 Corinthians 7:29-31

29This is what I mean, brothers: lthe appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none, 30and those who mourn as though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy mas though they had no goods, 31and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For nthe present form of this world is passing away.
