Luke 14:26-28

26 ^a“If anyone comes to me and ^bdoes not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, ^cyes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. 27 ^dWhoever does not ^ebear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not ^ffirst sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?

Luke 18:29-30

29 And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, ^gthere is no one who has left house or wife or brothers ^{▼▼Or wife or brothers and sisters} or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, 30 who will not receive ⁱmany times more ^jin this time, and in ^kthe age to come eternal life.”

1 Corinthians 7:29-31

29 This is what I mean, brothers: ^lthe appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none, 30 and those who mourn as though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy ^mas though they had no goods, 31 and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it.
