Luke 16:20-25
20And at his gate awas laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21who desired to be fed with bwhat fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover, even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22The poor man died and was carried by cthe angels dto Abraham’s side. ▼▼Greek bosom; also verse 23
The rich man also died and was buried, 23and in fHades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and gsaw Abraham far off and Lazarus hat his side. 24And he called out, i‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and jcool my tongue, for kI am in anguish in this flame.’ 25But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that lyou in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish. John 11:5

The Plot to Kill Lazarus
9When the large crowd of the Jews learned that Jesus ▼▼Greek he
was there, they came, not only on account of him but also to see Lazarus, qwhom he had raised from the dead. John 12:17
17 rThe crowd that had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to bear witness.
