The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

16For fI am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is gthe power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew hfirst and also to ithe Greek.

Romans 10:14

1 Corinthians 1:18-24

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God

18For the word of the cross is mfolly to nthose who are perishing, but to us owho are being saved it is pthe power of God. 19For it is written,

q“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”
20 rWhere is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? sHas not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach
Or  the folly of preaching
to save those who believe.
22For uJews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23but we preach Christ vcrucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ wthe power of God and xthe wisdom of God.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

The Greek word anthropoi can refer to both men and women
but as what it really is, the word of God, amwhich is at work in you believers.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14
