Luke 19:41-44

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

41 ^aAnd when he drew near and saw the city, ^bhe wept over it, 42 saying, ^c“Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now ^dthey are hidden from your eyes. 43 For ^ethe days will come upon you, when your enemies ^fwill set up a barricade around you and ^gsurround you and hem you in on every side 44 ^hand tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And ⁱthey will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know ^jthe time of your ^kvisitation.”

7 The world cannot hate you, but ^lit hates me because I testify about it that ^mits works are evil.

The Hatred of the World

1 Thessalonians 2:15-16
