The Birth of Jesus Christ
1In those days aa decree went out from bCaesar Augustus that all the world should be cregistered.John 19:12-15
12From then on dPilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s friend. eEveryone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.” 13So when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on fthe judgment seat at a place called The Stone Pavement, and in Aramaic ▼▼Or Hebrew; also verses 17, 20
Gabbatha. 14Now it was hthe day of Preparation of the Passover. It was about the sixth hour. ▼▼That is, about noon
He said to the Jews, j“Behold your King!” 15They cried out, k“Away with him, away with him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” Acts 17:7

8Paul argued in his defense, “Neither nagainst othe law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor pagainst Caesar have I committed any offense.”
