Luke 2:10-14

10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all ^athe people. 11 For ^bunto you is born this day in ^cthe city of David ^da Savior, who is ^eChrist ^fthe Lord. 12 And ^gthis will be a sign for you: you will find a baby ^hwrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 And suddenly there was with the angel ⁱa multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

14 ^j“Glory to God ^kin the highest,

Revelation of John 5:8-14

8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders ^pfell down before the Lamb, ^qeach holding a harp, and ^rgolden bowls full of incense, ^swhich are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang ^ta new song, saying,

“Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for ^uyou were slain, and by your blood ^vyou ransomed people for God
from ^wevery tribe and language and people and nation,
10 and you have made them ^xa kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering ^ymyriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,

^z“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And I heard ^aaevery creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
14 And the four living creatures ^absaid, “Amen!” and the elders ^acfell down and worshiped.

Revelation of John 12:12

12 Therefore, ^adrejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But ^aewoe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because ^afhe knows that his time is short!”

Rejoicing in Heaven

1 After this I heard ^ajwhat seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out,

“Hallelujah!
^akSalvation and glory and power belong to our God,
2 for ^alhis judgments are true and just;
for he has judged ^amthe great prostitute
who corrupted the earth with her immorality,
and ^anhas avenged on her the blood of his servants.” ^{▼▼Greek bondservants; also verse 5}
3 Once more they cried out,

“Hallelujah!
^apThe smoke from her goes up forever and ever.”
4 And ^aqthe twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!” 5 And from the throne came a voice saying,

all you his servants,
^asyou who fear him,
small and great.”
