Luke 20:21-26

21So they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and ashow no partiality,
Greek  and do not receive a face
but truly teach cthe way of God.
22Is it lawful for us to give dtribute to eCaesar, or not?” 23But he perceived their fcraftiness, and said to them, 24Show me ga denarius.
A  denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer
Whose likeness and inscription does it have?”
They said, “Caesar’s.”
25He said to them, Then irender to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” 26And they were not able in the presence of the people jto catch him in what he said, but marveling at his answer they became silent.

Luke 23:2

2And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man kmisleading our nation and lforbidding us to give tribute to mCaesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, na king.”
