Luke 20:3-7
3He answered them, “I also will ask you a question. Now tell me, 4was the baptism of John afrom heaven or from man?” 5And they discussed it with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, b‘Why did you not believe him?’ 6But if we say, ‘From man,’ all the people will stone us to death, for they are convinced that John was ca prophet.” 7So they answered that they did not know where it came from.Luke 20:41-44
Whose Son Is the Christ?
41 dBut he said to them, “How can they say that ethe Christ is fDavid’s son? 42For David himself says in the Book of Psalms,g“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
43until I make your enemies hyour footstool.”’
44David thus calls him Lord, so ihow is he his son?”
