2And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man amisleading our nation and bforbidding us to give tribute to cCaesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, da king.” 3 eAnd Pilate asked him, fAre you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, gYou have said so.” 4Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, h“I find no guilt in this man.” 5But they were urgent, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, ifrom Galilee even to this place.”

John 18:33-36

My Kingdom Is Not of This World

33 jSo Pilate entered his headquarters again and called Jesus and said to him, kAre you the King of the Jews?” 34Jesus answered, “Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me?” 35Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What have you done?” 36Jesus answered, lMy kingdom mis not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, nmy servants would have been fighting, that oI might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”

Acts 17:6-7

6And when they could not find them, pthey dragged Jason and some of the brothers before the city authorities, shouting, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also, 7and Jason has received them, and they are all acting against qthe decrees of Caesar, saying that there is ranother king, Jesus.”
