Luke 23:32-38

32 aTwo others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him. 33 bAnd when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, cone on his right and one on his left. 34And Jesus said, Father, dforgive them, efor they know not what they do.”

35And hthe people stood by, watching, ibut jthe rulers kscoffed at him, saying, l“He saved others; mlet him save himself, nif he is othe Christ of God, phis Chosen One!” 36The soldiers also mocked him, coming up and qoffering him sour wine 37and saying, rIf you are sthe King of the Jews, save yourself!” 38 tThere was also an inscription over him,

Luke 23:44-46

The Death of Jesus

44 wIt was now about the sixth hour,
That is, noon
and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour,
That is, 3 p.m.
45while the sun’s light failed. And zthe curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46Then Jesus, aacalling out with a loud voice, said, Father, abinto your hands I accommit my spirit!” And having said this adhe breathed his last.
