Luke 23:44-47

The Death of Jesus

44 aIt was now about the sixth hour,
That is, noon
and there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour,
That is, 3 p.m.
45while the sun’s light failed. And dthe curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46Then Jesus, ecalling out with a loud voice, said, Father, finto your hands I gcommit my spirit!” And having said this hhe breathed his last. 47Now iwhen the centurion saw what had taken place, jhe praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!”
