44 Then he said to them, ^a“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, ^bthat everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then ^che opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus ^dit is written, ^ethat the Christ should suffer and on the third day ^frise from the dead,

1 Peter 2:7-8

7 So the honor is for you who ^gbelieve, but for those who ^hdo not believe,

ⁱ“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone,” ^{▼▼Greek the head of the corner}
8 and

^k“A stone of stumbling,
and a rock of offense.”
They stumble because they disobey the word, ^las they were destined to do.
