The Widow’s Offering

2and he saw a poor widow put in two gsmall copper coins.
Greek  two lepta; a lepton was a Jewish bronze or copper coin worth about 1/128 of a denarius (which was a day’s wage for a laborer)
3And he said, Truly, I tell you, ithis poor widow has put in more than all of them. 4For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her jpoverty put in all kshe had to live on.”

John 13:29

29Some thought that, lbecause Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need mfor the feast,” or that he should ngive something to the poor.

2 Corinthians 8:2

2for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and otheir extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.

2 Corinthians 8:12

12For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable paccording to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
