Luke 4:17-22

17And athe scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,

18 b“The Spirit of the Lord cis upon me,
because he has anointed me
to dproclaim good news to the poor.
eHe has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and frecovering of sight to the blind,
gto set at liberty those who are oppressed,
19 hto proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
20And he rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant and isat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were jfixed on him. 21And he began to say to them, Today kthis Scripture lhas been fulfilled in your hearing.” 22And all spoke well of him and marveled at mthe gracious words that were coming from his mouth. And they said, nIs not this oJoseph’s son?”

Acts 13:15-16

15After pthe reading from qthe Law and the Prophets, rthe rulers of the synagogue sent a message to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have any sword of encouragement for the people, say it.” 16So Paul stood up, and tmotioning with his hand said:
