Luke 4:3-12

3The devil said to him, “If you are athe Son of God, command bthis stone to become bread.” 4And Jesus answered him, c“It is written, dMan shall not live by bread alone.’” 5 eAnd the devil took him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time, 6and said to him, “To you fI will give all this authority and their glory, gfor it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whom I will. 7If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” 8And Jesus answered him, h“It is written,

i“‘You shall worship the Lord your God,
and jhim only shall you serve.’”
9 kAnd he took him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are lthe Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10for it is written,

m“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
to guard you,’
11and

n“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
12And Jesus answered him, “It is said, o‘You shall not pput the Lord your God to the test.’”

Ephesians 4:27

27and qgive no opportunity to the devil.

Ephesians 6:11-13

11 rPut on sthe whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against tthe schemes of the devil. 12For uwe do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against vthe rulers, against the authorities, against wthe cosmic powers over xthis present darkness, against ythe spiritual forces of evil zin the heavenly places. 13Therefore aatake up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in abthe evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.

James 4:7

7Submit yourselves therefore to God. acResist the devil, and he will flee from you.
