Ananias and Sapphira

And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but ^tto God.” 5 When Ananias heard these words, he ^ufell down and breathed his last. And ^vgreat fear came upon all who heard of it.

Acts 8:19-22

19 saying, “Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” 20 But Peter said to him, ^w“May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God ^xwith money! 21 You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for ^yyour heart is not right before God. 22 Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, ^zif possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.
