Luke 5:12-15

Jesus Cleanses a Leper

12 While he was in one of the cities, ^athere came a man full of leprosy. ^{▼▼ Leprosy was a term for several skin diseases; see Leviticus 13} And when he saw Jesus, he ^cfell on his face and begged him, “Lord, ^dif you will, you can make me clean.” 13 And Jesus ^{▼▼Greek he} stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him. 14 And he charged him ^fto tell no one, but “go and show ^gyourself to the priest, and ^hmake an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, ⁱfor a proof to them.” 15 ^jBut now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities.

Luke 17:12-19

12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, ^{▼▼Leprosy was a term for several skin diseases; see Leviticus 13} ^lwho stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” 14 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and ^mshow yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, ⁿpraising God with a loud voice; 16 and ^ohe fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was ^pa Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not ^qten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and ^rgive praise to God except this ^sforeigner?” 19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; ^tyour faith has ^umade you well.” ^{▼▼Or has saved you}
