Jesus Cleanses a Leper
12While he was in one of the cities, athere came a man full of leprosy. ▼▼ Leprosy was a term for several skin diseases; see Leviticus 13
And when he saw Jesus, he cfell on his face and begged him, “Lord, dif you will, you can make me clean.” 13And Jesus ▼▼Greek he
stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him. 14And he charged him fto tell no one, but “go and show gyourself to the priest, and hmake an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, ifor a proof to them.” 15 jBut now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities. lwho stood at a distance 13and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” 14When he saw them he said to them, “Go and mshow yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, npraising God with a loud voice; 16and ohe fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was pa Samaritan. 17Then Jesus answered, “Were not qten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18Was no one found to return and rgive praise to God except this sforeigner?” 19And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; tyour faith has umade you well.” ▼▼Or has saved you
