Luke 6:33-35

33And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34And aif you blend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. 35But clove your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and dyou will be sons of ethe Most High, for fhe is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

Luke 14:12-14

The Parable of the Great Banquet

12He said also to the man who had invited him, When you give ga dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers
Or  your brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to brothers or to brothers and sisters
or your relatives or rich neighbors, ilest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.
13But when you give a feast, jinvite kthe poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, 14and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid lat mthe resurrection of the just.”

Luke 16:24

24And he called out, nFather Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and ocool my tongue, for pI am in anguish in this flame.’
