16 Fear seized them all, and ^athey glorified God, saying, ^b“A great prophet has arisen among us!” and ^c“God has visited his people!”

John 7:12

12 And there was much ^dmuttering about him among the people. ^eWhile some said, “He is a good man,” others said, “No, ^fhe is leading the people astray.”

Division Among the People

40 When they heard these words, ^gsome of the people said, “This really is ^hthe Prophet.” 41 Others said, “This is ⁱthe Christ.” But some said, ^j“Is the Christ to come from Galilee?

John 7:47-52

47 The Pharisees answered them, ^k“Have you also been deceived? 48 ^lHave any of the authorities or the Pharisees believed in him? 49 But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.” 50 ^mNicodemus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them, 51 ⁿ“Does our law judge a man without first ^ogiving him a hearing and learning what he does?” 52 They replied, ^p“Are you from Galilee too? Search and see that ^qno prophet arises from Galilee.”

John 9:24

24 So for the second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, ^r“Give glory to God. We know that ^sthis man is a sinner.”
