Malachi 2:14-16

Matthew 19:8-9

8He said to them, Because of your phardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 qAnd I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.”
Some manuscripts add and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery; other manuscripts  except for sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery


Mark 10:5-12

5And Jesus said to them, “Because of your shardness of heart he wrote you this commandment. 6But tfrom the beginning of creation, ‘God made them umale and female.’ 7 vTherefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife,

10And in the house the disciples asked him again about this matter. 11And he said to them, zWhoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her, 12and aaif she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

Luke 16:18

Divorce and Remarriage

18 abEveryone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman divorced from her husband commits adultery.

Romans 7:3

3Accordingly, acshe will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.

1 Corinthians 7:4

4For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

1 Corinthians 7:10-11

10To the married adI give this charge (not I, but the Lord): aethe wife should not separate from her husband 11(but if she does, afshe should remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband), and agthe husband should not divorce his wife.
