Malachi 3:1

1 aBehold, I send bmy messenger, and che will prepare the way before me. And the Lord dwhom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and ethe messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

14 oAnd the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them. 15 pBut when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, qHosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant, 16and they said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, Yes; rhave you never read,

you have prepared praise’?”

Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

41 uAnd when he drew near and saw the city, vhe wept over it, 42saying, wWould that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now xthey are hidden from your eyes. 43For ythe days will come upon you, when your enemies zwill set up a barricade around you and aasurround you and hem you in on every side 44 aband tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And acthey will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know adthe time of your aevisitation.”
