Malachi 3:1-2

1 aBehold, I send bmy messenger, and che will prepare the way before me. And the Lord dwhom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and ethe messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts. 2But fwho can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For ghe is like a refiner’s fire and like fullerssoap.

Malachi 3:5

5“Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be ha swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those iwho oppress the hired worker in his wages, jthe widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

For behold, lthe day is coming, mburning like an oven, when nall the arrogant and oall evildoers pwill be stubble. The day that is coming qshall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
2But for you rwho fear my name, sthe sun tof righteousness shall rise uwith healing in its wings. You shall go out vleaping like calves from the stall. 3And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, won the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts.

Matthew 3:10-12

10Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. xEvery tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

11 yI baptize you with water zfor repentance, but aahe who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you abwith the Holy Spirit and acfire. 12His adwinnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and aegather his wheat into the barn, afbut the chaff he will burn with agunquenchable fire.”

Matthew 21:43-44

43Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God ahwill be taken away from you and given to a people aiproducing its fruits. 44And ajthe one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; and akwhen it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”
