Malachi 4

The Great Day of the Lord

1
Ch 4:1–6 is ch 3:19–24 in Hebrew
For behold, bthe day is coming, cburning like an oven, when dall the arrogant and eall evildoers fwill be stubble. The day that is coming gshall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
2But for you hwho fear my name, ithe sun jof righteousness shall rise kwith healing in its wings. You shall go out lleaping like calves from the stall. 3And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, mon the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts.

4 nRemember othe law of my servant Moses, the statutes and rules
Or  and just decrees
that I commanded him at Horeb for all Israel.

5 qBehold, I will send you rElijah the prophet sbefore the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. 6And he will tturn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and ustrike the land with a decree of utter destruction.”
The Hebrew term rendered  decree of utter destruction refers to things devoted (or set apart) to the Lord (or by the Lord) for destruction

Luke 17:32-37

32 wRemember Lot’s wife. 33 xWhoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will ykeep it. 34I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left. 35 zThere will be two women aagrinding together. One will be taken and the other left.”
Some manuscripts add verse 36: Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left
37And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, acWhere the corpse
Greek body
is, there the vultures
Or eagles
will gather.”

Luke 19:41-44

22for these are aqdays of arvengeance, to fulfill asall that is written. 23 atAlas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!
