For behold, bthe day is coming, cburning like an oven, when dall the arrogant and eall evildoers fwill be stubble. The day that is coming gshall set them ablaze, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.
2But for you hwho fear my name, ithe sun jof righteousness shall rise kwith healing in its wings. You shall go out lleaping like calves from the stall. 3And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, mon the day when I act, says the Lord of hosts.

Matthew 3:9-10

9And do not presume to say to yourselves, n‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from othese stones to raise up children for Abraham. 10Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. pEvery tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 3:12

12His qwinnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and rgather his wheat into the barn, sbut the chaff he will burn with tunquenchable fire.”

32Before him uwill be gathered vall the nations, and whe will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates xthe sheep from the goats. 33And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left.

Romans 9:27-29

27And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: yThough the number of the sons of Israel
Or children of Israel
be as the sand of the sea, aaonly a remnant of them will be saved,
28for the Lord will carry out his sentence upon the earth fully and without delay.” 29And as Isaiah predicted,

ab, acIf the Lord of hosts had not left us offspring,
adwe would have been like Sodom
and become like Gomorrah.”
