Mark 1:9-11

The Baptism of Jesus

9 ^aIn those days Jesus ^bcame from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 And when he came up out of the water, immediately he ^csaw ^dthe heavens being torn open ^eand the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11 And ^fa voice came from heaven, ^g“You are my beloved Son; ^{▼▼Or my Son, my (or the) Beloved} with you I am well pleased.”

Luke 3:21-22

21 Now when all the people were baptized, and when ⁱJesus also had been baptized and was praying, ^jthe heavens were opened, 22 and ^kthe Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and ^la voice came from heaven, ^m“You are my beloved Son; ^{▼▼Or my Son, my (or the) Beloved} with you I am well pleased.” ^{▼▼Some manuscripts beloved Son; today I have begotten you}

John 1:31-34

31 I myself did not know him, but ^pfor this purpose I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel.” 32 And John ^qbore witness: ^r“I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and ^sit remained on him. 33 I myself did not know him, but ^the who sent me to baptize ^uwith water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, ^vthis is he who baptizes ^wwith the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”
