The Lesson from the Withered Fig Tree

20 aAs they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21And Peter remembered and said to him, bRabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” 22And Jesus answered them, Have cfaith in God. 23 dTruly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, e‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not fdoubt in his heart, but gbelieves that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, hwhatever you ask in prayer, ibelieve that you jhave received
Some manuscripts are receiving
it, and it will be yours.
25And whenever lyou stand praying, mforgive, nif you have anything against anyone, so that oyour Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
Some manuscripts add verse 26: But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses
