The Passover with the Disciples

12 aAnd on bthe first day of Unleavened Bread, when they csacrificed the Passover lamb, his disciples said to him, “Where will you have us go and prepare for you to eat the Passover?” 13And he sent dtwo of his disciples and said to them, Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him, 14and wherever he enters, say to the master of the house, e‘The Teacher says, Where is fmy guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 15And he will show you ga large upper room furnished and ready; there prepare for us.” 16And the disciples set out and went to the city and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

17 hAnd when it was evening, he came with the twelve. 18And as they were reclining at table and eating, iJesus said, Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me, jone who is eating with me.” 19They began to be sorrowful and to say to him one after another, “Is it I?” 20He said to them, “It is kone of the twelve, lone who is dipping bread into the dish with me. 21For the Son of Man goes mas it is written of him, but nwoe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! oIt would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”

14 ahAnd when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. 15And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16For I tell you I will not eat it

17And he took a cup, and akwhen he had given thanks he said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves. 18 alFor I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine amuntil the kingdom of God comes.” 19 anAnd he took bread, and aowhen he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, apThis is my body, which is given for you. Jesus Washes the Disciples’ Feet

1Now axbefore aythe Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that azhis hour had come bato depart out of this world to the Father, bbhaving loved bchis own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2During supper, when bdthe devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him, 3Jesus, knowing bethat the Father had given all things into his hands, and that bfhe had come from God and bgwas going back to God,

One of You Will Betray Me

21After saying these things, buJesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, bvTruly, truly, I say to you, bwone of you will betray me.” 22 bxThe disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke. 23 byOne of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was reclining at table bzat Jesusside,

25 ccSo that disciple, cdleaning back against Jesus, said to him, “Lord, who is it?” 26Jesus answered, ceIt is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread cfwhen I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, cghe gave it to Judas, chthe son of Simon Iscariot. 27Then after he had taken the morsel, ciSatan entered into him. Jesus said to him, cjWhat you are going to do, do quickly.” 28Now no one at the table knew why he said this to him. 29Some thought that, ckbecause Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need clfor the feast,” or that he should cmgive something to the poor. 30So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. cnAnd it was night.
