Mark 15:3

3And the chief priests accused him of many things.

Luke 20:19-26

Paying Taxes to Caesar

19 aThe scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him at that very hour, for they perceived that he had told this parable against them, but they feared the people. 20 bSo they cwatched him and sent spies, who dpretended to be sincere, that they might ecatch him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction of fthe governor. 21So they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach rightly, and gshow no partiality,
Greek  and do not receive a face
but truly teach ithe way of God.
22Is it lawful for us to give jtribute to kCaesar, or not?” 23But he perceived their lcraftiness, and said to them, 24Show me ma denarius.
A  denarius was a day’s wage for a laborer
Whose likeness and inscription does it have?”
They said, “Caesar’s.”
25He said to them, Then orender to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” 26And they were not able in the presence of the people pto catch him in what he said, but marveling at his answer they became silent.

Luke 23:2-5

2And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man qmisleading our nation and rforbidding us to give tribute to sCaesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, ta king.” 3 uAnd Pilate asked him, vAre you the King of the Jews?” And he answered him, wYou have said so.” 4Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, x“I find no guilt in this man.” 5But they were urgent, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, yfrom Galilee even to this place.”

John 19:12

12From then on zPilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s friend. aaEveryone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.”
