Mark 16:9-11

Some manuscripts end the book with 16:8; others include verses 9–20 immediately after verse 8. At least one manuscript inserts additional material after verse 14; some manuscripts include after verse 8 the following: But they reported briefly to Peter and those with him all that they had been told. And after this, Jesus himself sent out by means of them, from east to west, the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. These manuscripts then continue with verses 9–20

11But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb, and as she wept she stooped to look into the tomb. 12And tshe saw utwo angels in white, sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet. 13They said to her, vWoman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, w“They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.” 14Having said this, she turned around and xsaw Jesus standing, ybut she did not know that it was Jesus. 15Jesus said to her, zWoman, why are you weeping? aaWhom are you seeking?” Supposing him to be abthe gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” 16Jesus said to her, Mary.” She turned and said to him in Aramaic,
